National Sex Offender list

The Department of Justice today announced the activation of its National Sex Offender Public Registry (NSOPR) website, which provides real-time access to public sex offender data nationwide with a single Internet search. The Department-sponsored website allows parents and concerned citizens to search existing public state and territory sex offender registries beyond their own states.

Here is a link to the online press releases for the Department of Justice, which has not yet posted the news release but likely will make it available online after 4 p.m. today. In the meantime, here is a link to last May's announcement to launch the site.
