Detention Motion for Coach

The government filed a motion today to detain Jeffrey Vernace in federal custody without bond until his trial (not yet scheduled). Vernace, the former youth swim coach who was indicted for attempting to entice a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, will remain in federal custody until the court schedules a detention hearing and rules on the government's motion.

Here is the government's motion for pretrial detention and a hearing.

Here is our news release announcing the indictment.
